Mr. Matthew Forker, Principal
SHS WELCOMES THE CLASS OF 2030!
What a whirlwind of a week!
SHS officially kicked off the 2026–2027 school year, starting with a special orientation day for our incoming 9th graders this past Monday. Our newest students got a head start navigating the hallways, previewing their classes, and meeting the staff who will support them along the way.
By Tuesday, the rest of our students joined the mix, filling the halls with familiar faces and a vibrant energy to launch another incredible year! We also had visits from our new SPS Superintendent Dr. Adrian Talley and Mayor Caroline Simmons!
A huge thank you to our teachers, administration, support staff, cafeteria workers, security team, and custodial crew—the building looks fantastic, the opening ran seamlessly, and we are ready to hit our stride!
