FROM HARTFORD TO SAN ANTONIO: STAMFORD HIGH FBLA SECURE TOP SPOTS AT STATES!
Stamford High School is proud to announce the exceptional performance of its students at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Competition.
Held this past Tuesday at the Hartford Convention Center, SHS students under the supervision of FBLA advisor Ms. Dorothea Mackey, secured top honors, proving their mastery of business concepts in a high-stakes competitive environment.
The following students have been recognized for their outstanding achievements:
Second Place – Social Media: Brianna Diaz and Sophia Grymalyuk
Third Place – Sports Marketing: CJ Berlingo, Mike Kerr, and Aidan O'Laughlin
Fifth Place – Event Planning: Camila Aguilar, Ana Cabnal, and Logan Pearle
By demonstrating excellence at the state level, these students have officially qualified to represent Stamford High School at the FBLA National Leadership Conference. The national event will take place in San Antonio, Texas, from June 29 to July 2, 2026.
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. It serves more than 230,000 members across middle school, high school, and college levels, preparing the next generation of professionals for successful careers in the business world.

On Tuesday March 17, SHS Health and PE teacher Dan Lauture was named the 2026 Connecticut Educator Rising Teacher of the Year!
As Mr. Lauture noted, “This recognition reflects the success of our program, especially seeing former students from our original cohort return as colleagues and many others now in Educator Preparation Programs, preparing to enter the profession this summer.”

“ATTENDANCE MADNESS” ARRIVES AT SHS!
With “March Madness” around the corner, SHS is getting in the spirit of this yearly basketball tradition by having a class attendance competition amongst all periods and teachers! Every week, we will be reviewing attendance data and those that “defeat” their opponent in the bracket by having the higher rate of attendance, will advance! We hope to make this competition a fun way to make sure we are all in class every day! The winner for each period will win a major prize! More details to follow!
