Fist Bumps, Smiles & High Fives - SHS Unified Is Ready!
Fist bumps, smiles, and high fives filled the gym at Unified Sports practice this week! The team has been working hard to prepare for next week's matchups against Darien and New Canaan, and they looked great trying on their new jerseys!
Come cheer them on at Darien High School this Wednesday, December 17th at 3:00 PM. Don't miss out – this team is ready for another standout season!

“VAPA” DEPARTMENT RECIEVES GRANT
The Visual and Performing Arts Department is excited to announce that the State of Connecticut Office of the Arts has been awarded a $2,500 Grant so that Visual Art students can take a field trip to an Art Museum here in the state.
“Every Child Art Experience Grant” awards qualifying schools’ money to expose students to arts-based activities developing healthy, engaged and creative students.
SHS is planning to take a trip to the New Britain Museum of American Art or Yale University Art Gallery later this winter. During the trip, students will be researching and learning about new visual artists that can inspire their own work.
We are happy to report this is the second time in the last two years that we have received this award. Here are a few photos from our last trip to Yale Art Gallery in fall of 2024.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
The College and Career Center hosted a CT State Community Application Day to assist students in completing their application. More than 70 percent of students that are applying to CT State Community have completed their application!
